This site is dedicated to our daughter who was born with epilepsy and started having seizures at the age of 3 months old.  Morgan went through years of having seizures, sometimes up to 40 per day.  Throughout the last six years we have been down the long path of deciding what was in the best interest of our daughter.  We traveled throughout the United States trying to get opinions on the best course of treatment.  In January of 2008 we made the decision to go thru with a risky and very invasive brain surgery.  During her two surgery's Morgan had a craniotomy on the left half of her skull where they then placed electric grids on the surface of the brain.  Two days later Morgan was taken back into the operating room and had the entire Occipital lobe on the left side removed and most of the parietal lobe.  We have included many pictures of her ordeal on our blog and will continue to update her progress.  Needless to say Morgan is doing better that we could have hoped for and has even suprised her doctor's as well.  Morgan's surgery was performed at St. Joseph's Hospital / Barrows neurological institute in Phoenix Arizona.  Her superb Doctor's are Dr. Harold Rekate (surgeon), Dr. Jack Kerrigan (Neurologist) we could have not had a better group of people to take care of Morgan. And to the ones that nobody ever thinks about, the many nurses and people in the ICU and on the floor.

We hope to continue this website and try to connect with the family's that are battling health problems with their children.  Throughout this ordeal we have found many people and support groups that dedicate themselves to helping family's who need help and information.  Our aim is to change the website and hopefully put some good links that can help people who need it.

The one thing that we have learned is that you never give up!

The Perry Family
